James has been taking photographs for as long as he can remember, using everything from 110 cameras to Polaroids to the Kodak Advantix. He never really wanted to become a great photographer. He just wanted to take some decent photos.

“Around 1998 I got my first digital camera. It was a Sony 1.3 MP camera that used floppy disks for storage. Then I got a Casio QV3000. This was the first 3.2 MP camera. That thing was pretty cool. When I got the Sony F-707, that changed how I took photos. That is when I decided to get a DSLR. After a few months of playing with a used Canon D60, I was really taking some nice shots. Since moving to the Canon 20D, I am just at about the point where I want to be with my photography”
